Who is eligible to apply?
To apply for a Foundation Pharmacist training programme through Oriel in England and Wales, you must meet the eligibility criteria set by the National Recruitment Scheme (NRS).
You may be eligible if you are one of the following:
UK MPharm Students
Current third-year UK MPharm students who have given permission for their School of Pharmacy to share their details with the Pharmacy National Recruitment Office (PNRO).
UK MPharm Graduates
Graduates who have completed a UK MPharm degree and meet the recruitment requirements.
OSPAP Students
Students currently enrolled on an Overseas Pharmacists' Assessment Programme (OSPAP) are eligible to apply through Oriel. Supporting documentation will be required as part of the application process.
OSPAP Graduates
Pharmacists who have successfully completed an OSPAP programme are also eligible to apply.
Not sure if you're eligible?
If you require a visa to work in the UK, you can still apply through Oriel. However, it is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the relevant UK immigration requirements and only preference Foundation training programmes that are suitable for your visa route.
During the preferencing stage, Oriel clearly indicates whether each programme offers Skilled Worker Visa (SWV) sponsorship. Always check this information carefully before ranking a programme. However, we also strongly recommend contacting the employer directly to confirm that the visa sponsorship information is still current, as programme details can occasionally change. Verifying this in advance can help you avoid the disappointment of accepting or ranking a programme that is ultimately unable to sponsor your visa.
We can review your qualifications and circumstances before you apply, helping you identify any issues early and giving you a personalised roadmap for your next steps.
